Prospective students are invited to learn more about Flint Hill’s Fine Arts and Robotics programs and join us for faculty-led workshops in each discipline.

Parents are welcome to stay on campus in a parent lounge with coffee, refreshments, and wifi while prospective students attend workshops. Current parents and admission team members will also be available during this time.

Prospective Student Workshop Descriptions

An Acting Sample: Join Theater Instructor, Kate Davis for a master class in acting. Students will begin with a warm-up and improvisation session and continue on to demonstrate and practice actor preparation techniques through scene study and games. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing.
2:00 - 3:00 p.m., 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

From a Slab of Clay:   Join Ceramics Instructor, Julia Cardone to explore the basics of building functional objects from a slab of clay. Students will consider and examine relationships between form, function and voice in ceramic art.  No experience needed.
2:00 - 3:00 p.m., 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Photoshop: Dream Landscapes: Join Digital Arts Instructor, Catherine Huber as we use our imaginations and the tools of Adobe Photoshop to build imaginary landscapes together. This workshop is open to any skill level.
2:00 - 3:00 pm, 3:00 - 4:00 pm

Observational Drawing Class: Join Studio Arts Instructor, Nikki Brugnoli for a studio class experience for anyone who likes to draw and would like to take that to the next level. The class will focus on a way of seeing and observing that can develop excellent drawing skills.

Robotics Challenge: Join current robotics students and Robotics Instructor, Michael Snyder for an interactive robotics workshop. Students will have an opportunity to learn about our highly regarded robotics program. Using the FIRST Tech Challenge competition field, participants will build a robot capable of completing several challenges. Participants will become familiar with the Tetrix build system.
